Come experience Italy without leaving Arizona at Villa Pallavicini. A replica of the La Pasquareccia, also known as the Easter Bell, hangs proudly above the clubhouse to help depict the traditions and history of Tuscany that the Villa Pallavicini community represents. La Pasquareccia was made in 1262 with characteristics of greenish patina from centuries of exterior exposure, and a distinctive elongated profile, typical of bells from the 1200’s. Such bells are very rare today. Their metal was often more valuable in form of a cannon in times of war over the centuries and once a bell cracked it had limited appeal. The Leaning Tower of Pisa is considered to be one of the Seven Wonders of the World, located in Tuscan coastal city of Pisa. It is apart of the Cathedral of Pisa, at the Piazza dei Miracoli, with construction beginning on the tower in 1173 and ending in 1350. In 1705 a narrative of the tower stated there were 8 bells at that time. All the bells in the Tower of Pisa have names, and the oldest bell called La Pasquareccia. It was originally hung in Torre dell Orologio dal Ponte di Mezzo (Tower of the Clock from the Means Bridge) and was called La Giustizia (the Justice).
